FAQs

Q: How do I book my first appointment?

A: Simply go to Book an Appointment page and follow the link! There is a 50% Deposit for your first appointment.

Q: I have never had a massage before, what should I expect?

A: Make sure to have completed your intake form prior to your appointment and be on time. I will greet you in the lobby downstairs, and walk you up to the studio. If you are feeling nervous or have questions, please don’t hesitate to ask! I will conduct a pre-treatment consultation, and instruct you to undress to your level of comfort and get on the table and underneath the draping. Then I will leave the room to wash my hands and give you time, and then knock before coming back in. Remember to remove any jewelry preferably before getting on the table as well as turning your phone on silent to ensure a peaceful session. I use draping protocols to ensure modesty during your treatment, so you do not have to worry about being exposed.

If at any time, you are uncomfortable, please let me know so they can adjust the temperature, pressure, draping, or anything else. You have the right to end your treatment at any time for any reason as do I. After the massage treatment is over, I will leave the room so you can dress. Then I will discuss relevant home-care and a treatment plan.

Q: Do you provide direct billing to insurance?

A: Unfortunately not at this time, but you can take your receipt and send it to your insurance to get reimbursed!

Q: What methods of payment do you accept?

A: I am accepting payment via Interact E-transfer, cash, debit and credit cards; Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express.

Q: How secure is your online booking system?

A: I use Noterro Software for my online booking, which is a trusted system used by many health professionals in Canada.

Q: Do Massage Therapists give diagnosis?

A: No. Legally we cannot give a diagnosis, we can however give our clinical impression but I will always strongly recommend seeking out a doctor to get a proper diagnosis.

Q: Should I tip my massage therapist?

A: Tipping is always appreciated by your therapist, but is never a requirement. As a small business owner, I appreciate if you choose to include a tip, however, you can expect consistent, effective massage treatment regardless of gratuities.
